A 36-hour online bridging program designed for internationally trained learners to align their animal care
knowledge with Canadian veterinary workplace expectations, ethics, safety practices, and client communication standards.
The Veterinary Assistant Bridging Program (Canadian Standards) supports internationally trained learners
and animal care professionals in adapting their existing knowledge to the ethical, professional, and safety expectations
of Canadian veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, and pet care environments.
The program emphasizes workplace readiness rather than clinical certification. Learners build applied understanding of
animal handling, infection control, documentation, client communication, and professional conduct within Canadian regulatory
and ethical frameworks.
Participants receive a Certificate of Completion from Richmond Hill College.
This certificate confirms professional development and continuing education and does not grant licensure,
registration, or authorization to practice veterinary medicine.
