Description
Pet Grooming Bridging Program (Canadian Standards) is a 40-hour hybrid micro-certificate program delivered over three months, designed for internationally trained pet groomers who want to align their skills with Canadian workplace expectations.
This program combines self-paced online learning with practical workshops or live virtual grooming simulations, helping learners strengthen key competencies needed in Canadian grooming environments. Through four structured modules and 16 lessons, participants review animal welfare principles, safe handling practices for dogs and cats, salon hygiene and sanitation routines, professional documentation, and client communication.
The curriculum also introduces Ontario employment and small business awareness, supporting learners who plan to work in grooming salons, mobile grooming services, or pursue responsible self-employment.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Richmond Hill College for continuing education and professional development.
This program is designed for educational purposes and does not provide a regulated trade license, provincial authorization, or guaranteed employment outcomes.
