The International Healthcare Support Worker Bridging Program (PSW-Focused) (IH-PSBP) is a 40-hour hybrid continuing education program designed for internationally educated healthcare professionals and healthcare newcomers seeking orientation to Canadian healthcare support environments.
Delivered over a flexible three-month learning period, the program introduces participants to healthcare support settings commonly found in long-term care, home care, and community support environments across Canada.
Through five structured modules, learners explore foundational concepts related to healthcare systems, workplace communication, professional ethics, infection prevention practices, patient support concepts, and culturally responsive care.
Participants who successfully complete the program receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing continuing education and professional bridging preparation.
This program is intended for educational and professional preparation purposes and may support further learning or career development pathways within healthcare support environments.
